PRECISION PLANTING

FarmReign LLC arms you with the latest technology, customized to meet your needs, and our friends at Precision Planting are constantly coming up with new ways to increase growers' efficiency. Bring your farm into the future with vDrive, DeltaForce, SpeedTube, vSet Select, vApplyHD and vDrive Insecticide: these are the cutting edge technologies of farming, and FarmReign is your gateway to affordably and intelligently integrating them into your operation.

VDRIVE

vDrive is a custom planter on each row. Whatever you need and ask of that row happens. Period.Season one, you have the capabilities to do your best planting, plus a meter & drive setup that has staying power for the seasons ahead.

With its row-by-row control, you'll get precisely planted headlands, high-definition population reporting, and even the ability to plant male and female seed corn plants in the same pass.

Standard drive motors don't allow individual rows (from the outside to the inside of the planter) to adjust around curves. With vDrive, each row adjusts independently, so you get accurate populations on curves and with your prescriptions.

SPEEDTUBE

SpeedTube increases planting speed and decreases equipment costs. A new seed delivery system by Precision Planting promises to allow growers to plant corn and soybeans much faster than is possible with seed tubes. Jason Stoller, Precision Planting Engineering Product Manager for the new SpeedTube, says, "Available time for optimum spring planting is both limited and critical, and larger planters are not the answer to growing farm sizes. But planting speed is limited by the constraints of the seed tube, because high speeds lead to poor spacing." Stoller explains that SpeedTube solves these problems by controlling the seed all the way from the meter to the furrow. Feeder wheels at the top grab the seed from the disk and pull it into a flighted belt that deposits it in bottom of the trench. The SpeedTube belt spins at a rate that increases and decreases with planter speed and seeding rates, ensuring that the seed placement is optimal.

VSET SELECT

You aim to maximize yield by planting the hybrid that will do the best, on average, across the whole field. But yield environments often change in the same field, calling for different hybrids in different areas. You've had to make compromises, but not anymore.

With the radically new vSet Select, there are no compromises. You can plant two hybrids in the same row, switching back and forth as environments change, to plant the hybrid that will produce the most in each environment. That maximizes yield.

Any mapping software can make the two-hybrid prescription shape file that is used by vSet Select, or operators can manually switch from one hybrid to another.

VAPPLYHD

Modern liquid control kits often come with a lot of caveats. Getting a system to apply the liquid you want, at the rate you want is confusing and for this reason many growers are either unhappy with their current setup or they have not moved to one.

vApplyHD solves these issues by being an all in one flow measurement and rate control tool. This results in easy to understand and accurate rate application. vApplyHD can be installed on each row as well as by section along with FlowSense to accommodate budget, allowing for prescription control and flow monitoring in both cases. High precision prescription control, compensation for implement speed, and real time monitoring allows growers granularity and instant feedback that makes sure they do not miss a beat in the field.

VDRIVE INSECTICIDE

Normal insecticide meters are chain driven and accurate at a single speed. In the past, if you wanted to use an electric drive for your seed meter and apply granular insecticide, you would have had to leave the chains. Not anymore.

vDrive Insecticide is the electric motor-driven insecticide meter that provides accurate delivery across your entire speed range. Row by row control for your insecticide delivery is now within reach.

FURROWFORCE

Add FurrowForce to your planter as a mechanical system. From the cab, you can set how much firming force the second stage wheels apply to the soil, and a load cell measures the weight on the second stage stitch wheels. If the sensor sees more or less weight than you set, FurrowForce automatically adjusts the force, row by row, to overcome the variability that you are encountering, so your seeds can germinate consistently. Stop guessing and start knowing your pressuring setting is correct on your closing system.

REVEAL

Reveal is a frame-mounted row cleaner, so it does not impact the row unit. With its own internal gauge wheel, Reveal precisely controls the depth of the cleaning tines to create a consistently clean and ideal seeding environment for even emergence to occur.

Reveal allows you to set the depth that cleaning tines engage with the ground. With this adjustment handle, you can engage the tines deeper into the soil and residue mat or make them shallower. The result is a row cleaner that is operating exactly how you want it to.

CLARITY

Clarity offers high-definition visibility into air seeders, box drills, dry fertilizer applicators and strip-till bars in real-time. The Clarity system displays and maps flow variability and product blockage metrics, row-by-row, on the 20|20 monitor in the cab.

Clarity features the following metrics on the Gen 3  20|20 monitor, bringing better visibility and understanding of granular products that are flowing through the delivery tubes.

  • Row-by-Row Mapping – The 20|20 monitor shows more than just red or green for coverage maps, it shows a vast array of colors in high-definition that illustrates detailed data per row. Pinpoint if there’s a blockage or drop in product flow quicker and more accurately with the Clarity system.

  • Product Magnitude  – Magnitude is a metric showing the amount of product flowing through the sensors, giving you a row-by-row comparison. By watching this metric on the 20|20 monitor, you can quickly see any inconsistencies of product flow, investigate issues and operate your equipment with confidence.

  • Product Uniformity – Uniformity is a numerical percentage value that shows how even the system is delivering a product to each row. By using the product magnitude data, the system shows rows that are over-applying or under-applying. The equipment average is a snapshot of performance, foot by foot.

  • Product Deviation – Deviation displays how each row compares to the average magnitude being applied. This metric shows the percentage that a row is applying above or below the average. You will be able to further diagnose performance issues using this metric.
